Becky Brown, of LITTLE BROWN LIGHT ministries, is a very special friend to me and has been a speaker in our Association several times.  Today I received an email from her.  Regardless of where you stand politically, her words are touching and timely.   I hope you enjoy as much as I did.
Judy Felkins

"Dear friends of the Little Brown Light: Wow. What a day this will be as we watch our presidential inauguration.  As I have said several times, the man did not receive my vote, but he certainly has my support in prayer as he walks the halls of our government.  I am praying for his daily personal safety.  I am praying for his wife.  I am praying for his children.  I am praying for his heart to be focused completely on the Lord. I am praying that he will be surrounded by people who love the Lord and give him Godly counsel.  I am praying that he will be open to such counsel as he assumes the leadership of our nation.  His main campaign word has been "change".  I am praying that the foundation of his administration will laid upon the CHANGELESS ONE, our Father God, Creator of the universe, Maker of Man, the One Who never changes.

LITTLE BROWN LIGHT
CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN

In the last book of the Old Testament, the prophet Malachi
records these words of Almighty God:
"I, the Lord, DO NOT CHANGE."
Malachi 6:3

James, the brother of Jesus and leader of the early church in Jerusalem wrote:
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights
who DOES NOT CHANGE like shifting shadows."
James 1:17

Jesus said to His disciples: "I tell you the truth, unless you CHANGE and become
like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven."
Matthew 18:3

Speaking to the people of Judah in Jerusalem through the prophet Jeremiah, God said: "If you really CHANGE your
ways and your actions and deal with one another justly, if you do not oppress the alien, the fatherless or the widow and
do not shed innocent blood in this place and if you do not follow other gods (little"g") to your harm, then I will let you live
in this place."
Jeremiah 7:15

The Psalmist reminds us of the inevitability of change of the created order: "In the beginning, You laid the foundations of the earth and the heavens are the work of Your hands.  They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a
garment.  Like clothing, You will CHANGE them and they will be discarded.  But You remain the same and Your years will
never end.  The children of Your servants will live in Your presence; their descendants will be established before You."
Psalm 102:25-28

CHANGECLUSIONS:

*God does not change.
*Our hearts must change to follow Jesus.
*Our daily actions must regularly change from tunnel vision
selfishness to sensitivity to the needs of others.
*Heavens and Earth will be changed, but people who
place their faith in God will live forever.
