The purpose of the Christian Ethics & Issues Team is to represent Christian moral and ethical concerns throughout our county. These include, but are not limited to: sanctity of human life, race relations, alcohol and other drugs, religious freedom, Christian persecution, gambling, pornography, etc. The goal is to make Christians more aware of critical moral and social issues, to lead in Christian action, and to rally the churches to combat moral and social concerns.
The Sanctity of Human Life (Pro-Life) is a Biblical, Spiritual, Moral Issue, not the agenda of any particular political party or group. It is not a matter of liberal versus conservative. It is a matter of LIFE or DEATH! It is a cause around which all Christians (Democrat and Republican) can and should unite.

I Timothy 2:1-2 presents a clear guideline for how we should pray for our government officials, regardless of their political platform. "I urge then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings, and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."
It is our Biblical and patriotic duty to pray for our leaders.

PRAY FOR OUR NATION
We have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us! It behooves us, then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.

Each one of the 100 crosses placed in the front lawn of Chilton Baptist Association represented 480,000 innocent babies killed since 1973 through abortion. The crosses are up the entire month of January to promote Sanctity of Human Life. The crosses were provided through the Senior Adult Ministry of Chilton Baptist Associaiton.
